Dr. Pille is a recognized leader in the field of health and wellness. She brings many years of experience in health promotion and workplace wellness to her role as Department Chair for Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) graduate programs in Health and Wellness Coaching. In this role, Dr. Pille advocates for a holistic approach to health and well-being through the lens of the health and wellness coach. Health and wellness coaches partner with clients who want self-directed, lasting changes that are aligned with their values and that promote health and wellness. In the course of their work, health and wellness coaches display an unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change. They understand that their clients are the experts in their own lives. The expertise of the health and wellness coach is in the facilitation of behavior change. MUIH’s coaching programs include principles of applied behavioral science, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and goal setting to facilitate healthy, sustainable behavior change. MUIH graduates are health and wellness coaches who support their clients to listen to their own inner wisdom, clarify their values, recognize and overcome resistance, and transform their goals into action.
