Dr. Marlysa Sullivan, PT, C-IAYT is a physical therapist and yoga therapist specializing in working with people living with chronic pain conditions through the integration of evidence-based practice with the wisdom tradition of yoga therapy.She is a professor at Maryland University of Integrative Health in Integrative Health Sciences and Yoga Therapy. Her courses focus on understanding the application of the biopsychosocial-spiritual model of wellness in relation to yoga and physical activity for clinical populations. She is also a professor at Emory University where she teaches the integration of yoga into physical therapy practice. Her research interests focus on helping to describe the characteristics of yoga therapy practice as well as developing an explanatory and theoretical framework for yoga therapy to assist its utilization in both research and clinical contexts.
